Chinese Premier
Zhu Rongji stressed Wednesday in Beijing that the use of
information technology is vital for the world economy and social
development.
He
made the remarks at a lecture held by the State Steering Group of
Science, Technology and Education. He said that pushing forward the
construction of E-government administration is very important to
the overall quality of the national economy, modernization of
management, strengthening government supervision, and
anti-corruption work.
He
asked the governments at all levels to pay close attention to
setting up E-government administration.
At
the invitation of the State Steering Group of Science, Technology
and Education, Zhou Hongren, vice director of China's information
expert consultative committee, gave a lecture entitled "Global
E-Government Administration and the Development of China's
E-Government Administration" for the State Steering Group of
Science, Technology and Education.
His speech included information on the current situation, business
model, digital infrastructure, and security of E-government
administration.
