Spokesman Qin Gang is calling for the international community not to support separatist activities operating under the cloak of religion.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said, "Are these activities peaceful protests or violent crimes? Homicide, arson, looting, smashing down shops, schools and banks, is this peaceful? Should these activities be tolerated? If so, is there law, human rights and justice in the world? I believe all countries and governments can understand and support what the Chinese government is doing. China hopes the international community can realize what the Dalai clique is up to, and that it is hiding its separatist activities under the cloak of religion. The international community should not provide support to the clique and its separatist activities in any form."
