2 ROK fishing fans rescued from cliff in E. China

Two fishing fans from the Republic of Korea (ROK) trapped on a seashore cliff on an island in east China's Shandong Province was rescued on Saturday.

 

According to local marine rescue center, the two Koreans were found trapped on a cliff at seashore of Zhifu Island, Yantai City at 3:15 PM Saturday.

 

The center informed the incident to the Dalian-based No. 1 rescue aerocade under the Ministry of Communications.

 

At 4:03 PM., a helicopter carrying rescuers took off from the northeast Chinese port. It arrived over the incident site in 30 minutes and lifted the two onto the helicopter.

 

The helicopter arrived at Laishan airport in Yantai at 5:15 PM. The Koreans are now in stable condition with no injury.
