The Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National
Defense has released the "11th Five-Year" plan for the country's
aerospace program.
The plan has been approved by the State Council. It identifies
nine major tasks for China's aerospace industry, including
upgrading its innovating ability, strengthening research, and
enhancing international cooperation. The Commission says China's
moon-probing project is speeding ahead.
The country is also developing a new generation of rockets with
large carrying capacities to support its space program.
