China Provides Aid to Flood-hit DPRK
Adjust font size:

China delivered the first-batch of relief materials to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), which suffered serious flooding, on Thursday, the Ministry of Commerce announced.

The first batch of relief materials, including analgesics, antibiotics, and sterilizing equipment, were delivered to the DPRK over the Yalu River Bridge on Thursday morning, according to a message posted on the ministry's website.

"More materials will be supplied soon," said the ministry.

Heavy rain, which started on August 7, caused heavy losses of life and property in the DPRK and left 100,000 people homeless, according to previous news reports.
