The Council of Foreign Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will meet in Kyrgyzstan later this month, the Kyrgyzstan Foreign Ministry says.

The July 13 meeting will be held at Lake Issyk-Kul to discuss the organization's current activities to further multilateral cooperation within the SCO framework and increase its role in the international arena.

The gathering is a major event for the preparation of the 13th session of the Council of Heads of SCO scheduled for September in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.

Kyrgyzstan currently chairs the SCO. Endi
