JERUSALEM, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- An unknown group fired several mortar shells into the northern end of the Israeli-held Golan Heights early Tuesday morning, according to initial media reports.
The shells slammed down in the fields of a rural Jewish community in the vicinity, but caused no injuries, according to Israel Radio.
Israeli army sappers and investigators are at the scene. Israel Defense Forces officials were quoted as saying the shells were likely mis-aimed, and were part of battles between Syrian government forces and rebels, on the other side of the border. Enditem
