RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff' s approval rating increased from 70.5 to 75.7 percent in one year, a survey from the National Transports Confederation (CNT) said Friday.
The approval rating for Rousseff's government reached 56.6 percent, up from 49.2 percent in the CNT's last poll a year ago.
The share of Brazilians who disapprove of the government fell from 9.3 to seven percent in the same period.
The poll also verified the Brazilians' opinion on the current state of the country's economy. A total of 48.8 percent considered that the economy is growing, while 43.2 percent said it is undergoing stagnation.
And most of Brazilians had a rosier view of the economy in the future, believing it would grow in 2012, and only 6.4 percent said it would undergo a contraction by the end of the year. Enditem
