Clashes continue in Syria's Aleppo
DAMASCUS, July 25 (Xinhua) -- Clashes between Syrian government troops and armed opposition fighters continued Wednesday, mostly in northern Aleppo province, media reports said.
The Russia Today website quoted a source in Aleppo as saying that rebel Free Syrian Army have stationed in narrow alleys, as government troops continued cleansing some neighborhoods of Aleppo, such as Hanano and Salahuddien.
It said many armed rebels have been killed in the clashes, which started last week as part of the armed opposition's resolve to bring down the key cities of Aleppo and the capital Damascus.
Meanwhile, sources told Xinhua that fighting is currently underway in al-Qadam and Sbaineh areas of Damascus.
The opposition Local Coordination Committees said at least 70 people have been killed nationwide. Yet the report could not be verified independently. Enditem
