USS George Washington aircraft carrier arrives in waters off Hong Kong yesterday. The carrier, the sixth in the Nimitz class and the fourth US Navy ship to be named after the first American president, is a nuclear-powered supercarrier. The visiting fleet also includes one guided missile cruiser and two guided missile destroyers, as well as about 5,000 Marines and officers.
