China on Wednesday voiced opposition to an annual report by the U.S. Congressional-Executive Commission on China, saying it interfered in China's internal affairs.
"The so-called commission always watches China through colored lens, distorts facts and interferes in China's internal affairs. China is firmly opposed to such moves, " said Foreign Ministry spokesperson Jiang Yu in a statement when asked to comment on the report, which was issued last week.
"We urge the commission to stop releasing such kind of reports and stop erroneous acts that interfere with and harm the Sino-U.S. relations," Jiang said.
China's achievements made in areas such as promoting human rights and strengthening democracy and the legal system are obvious to all, she added.
