Japanese automaker Honda Motor will recall 760,515 vehicles sold in China over potential automatic transmission problems, China's quality watchdog said on Friday.
The automobiles being recalled will include the company's Accord, Odyssey and Spirior models, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) said in a statement posted on its website.
Honda's two joint ventures in China, Guangzhou Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. and Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co. Ltd., will launch the recall on Aug. 8.
Manufacturers will update automatic transmission control software installed in the recalled cars for free.
