Two people were killed and seven others injured in an attack on a wedding party in Afghanistan's Baghlan province, 160 km north of capital Kabul, an official said Sunday.
"A wedding party was underway in Baghlan-e-Markazi district late Saturday night when a man sprayed bullets, leaving two people dead and seven others injured, including women and children," spokesman for provincial administration, Mahmoud Haqmal, told Xinhua.
Investigation has begun to determine who was behind the bloody incident, he said.
However, doctors with Baghlan's hospital said they have received three dead bodies and 12 injured people from the attack.
In a similar incident which happened in Dur Baba district of eastern Nangarhar province on June 5, nine people were killed and five others injured.
