Oil terminal explodes in Daya Bay

An oil depot in a petrochemical industry park in Daya Bay exploded this morning.

An oil depot in Daya Bay, south China's Guangdong Province, blasted at around 4:10 am on June 11, 2011, the China National Radio reported.

The fire has been put out, but thick smoke are still seen in Huizhou Dayawan Petrochemical Industry Park, where the depot is located.

There are no immediate reports on casualties or the cause of the explosion.

The Daya Bay is home to four nuclear reactors, belonging to the Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant, the Ling Ao Nuclear Power Plant, and the Daya Bay Reactor Neutrino Experiment.
