People in central China's Hubei Province welcomed a down pouring of rain on Tuesday, although it is unclear how much the rain will ease the province's worst drought in 50 years.
Residents in the provincial capital Wuhan witnessed the rain during the morning rushing hour, and according to weather reports released by the provincial meteorological bureau, the rainfall will reach 20 to 70 mm throughout the province.
Experts said since the exact precipitation is still unclear, it is not known to what extent the rain could help ease the drought. Drought has been lingering from last fall, becoming the worst in the province in 50 years.
