Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao will attend the forth trilateral leaders' meeting of China, Japan and the Republic of Korea (ROK) in Tokyo from May 21 to 22, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu announced Sunday.
Leaders from the three nations will have an in-depth discussion on cooperation between the countries and regional and international issues of common concern, said Jiang.
Wen will also have bilateral meetings with Japanese Prime Minister Kan Naoto and ROK President Lee Myung bak, she said.
Wen will visit Fukushima and other areas affected by the country's March 11 earthquake and tsunami, Jiang added.
Earlier last Friday during a meeting with a delegation of the Japanese Business Federation a Japanese economic organization, Premier Wen pledged further assistance to Japan, asking the two governments and peoples to make a joint effort in promoting the China-Japan strategic partnership.
