A woman who was seriously injured after a 5.8-magnitude earthquake in southwest China's Yunnan Province died on Monday, raising the death toll to 26, according to the local rescue headquarters.
Feng Taiying, a 29-year-old resident at Mangzhang Village, Yingjiang County, failed to respond to emergency treatments and died at noon at the People's Hospital of Tengchong County, said the headquarters.
The quake, which jolted Yingjiang County on March 10, has so far left 26 people dead and 313 others injured, 133 seriously. It toppled 1,039 homes and seriously damaged 4,994 others. |
