Situated in the south street of Drum Tower of Tianjin City, 'Princess' Mansion' is a typical quadrangle construction in the late Qing Dynasty style. Since it was the former residence of Princess Deling, during the reign of Emperor Guangxu, the name 'Princess' Mansion' came into being.

"Princess' Mansion", a new private museum, commemorating the fascinating and intriguing aspects of Princess Deling, born in late 19th century China, opened to public in 2009. Situated in the south street of Drum Tower of Tianjin City, "Princess' Mansion"is a typical quadrangle construction in the late Qing Dynasty style. Since it was the former residence of Princess Deling, during the reign of Emperor Guangxu, the name "Princess' Mansion"came into being. Princess Deling was born in Wuchang of Hubei Province in 1886. Her father used to be an envoy in Japan and France and her mother was French. Princess Deling had control over 8 foreign languages. When she returned to Beijing in 1903, she became the interpreter for Empress Dowager Cixi. [China.org.cn]
