Forbes Magazine has published its annual list of the top 100 Chinese celebrities based on their income, search engine hits, and exposures in newspapers and magazines as well as television during the year from March, 2010 to February, 2011.
The following five athletes made their way onto this year's list.
Lin Dan

Lin Dan is a well-known Chinese badminton player, with a nickname of "Super Dan" by his fans. Last year, by the age of 27, Lin had completed the "Super Grand Slam," having won all major titles in world badminton competitions: Olympic Games, World Championships, World Cup, Thomas Cup, Sudirman Cup, All England Open, Asian Games, and Asia Championships, and became the first and only player to achieve this feat in the world. Lin Dan’s marriage last year also attracted media attention. He earned 10.18 million yuan (US$1.58 million) in the assessment period.
