Wang Zhizhi of the Bayi Rockets has crowned as the Most Valuable
Player of the Week in the domestic basketball league CBA.
The star player returned to the domestic league after a
five-year absence and presented great shows in the first week of
the league's new season.
Plagued by constant injuries, Wang averaged 34.5 points in the
first four matches, becoming the leading scorer of the league.
His heroic 51-point show in Yunnan had not only helped his club
win over the home side but also defended his pride as the league's
best player.
Wang was the first Asian to make to the NBA, the world's top
basketball league, when he was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks in
2001.
