The 2006 Beijing International Marathon held on Oct.15 as
China's Sun Weiwei and Kenya's James Kwambi Kipsang respectively
won the women's and the men's races.
Sun Weiwei defended China's dominance in women's long-distance
running at the 2006 Beijing Marathon, as she claimed the title in
2:34:41.
In men's race, Kipsang clocked 2:10:36 for the title, leaving
his compatriot David Kipkorir Mandago second in 2:10:46. Japanese
Takehisa Okino was third in 2:12:24.
