The United States beat hosts China 14-7 in Tianjin on Thursday
in the 14th women's water polo world cup.
The United States topped the Group A with three wins, followed
by Russia, Greece and China.
In Group B, Australia beat Hungary 9-6 to top the group with
three wins, followed by Italy, Hungary and Canada.
On Friday, China will play Canada for the seventh place. Russia
will meet Hungary, and Italy face Greece for two semifinal
berths.
The United States and Australia, the two group winners, entered
the semifinals automatically.
A total of eight teams are competing in the tournament which
will end on Sunday.
