The Chinese men's basketball team lost to African Champions
Angola 66-74 in their last friendly match of their warm-up tour in
Spain Tuesday morning Beijing time.
Wang Shipeng shot a team-high of 17 points and star center Yi
Jianlian got a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds.
Angola made an excellent 13-0 run into the match. China managed
to level the score with 3-points in the second quarter, but was
unable to keep up with their opponent's pace later in the game.
China's field goal percentage of 38.78 was ten percent behind
the African side.
Previously China's men's basketball team has suffered a fourth
consecutive loss after they were beaten 77-66 by reigning world
champions Serbia and Montenegro on Monday.
The team ended their tour through Europe with one win and six
losses. This tour forms part of China's preparations for the world
championships coming up in Japan in September. Star players Yao
Ming and Wang Zhizhi were not with the team as both were nursing
their injuries.
