Xiamen Lanshi has scored an eye-opening 2-1 victory over
Shanghai Shenhua in the 17th round of the China Super League
football season.
The two teams could not have appeared more poorly matched before
the game began. Xiamen has been on a losing streak with five
defeats in a row, while Shanghai has four consecutive wins.
Despite expectations, underdogs Xiamen rallied together and
surprised everyone.
Zhang Tiangang scored the first goal for Xiamen during their
first shot 22 minutes into the game.
Teammate Zou Yougen secured their lead with another goal in the
second half.
Shanghai managed to score one goal later, but it was not enough
to catch up with Xiamen.
The win has snapped Xiamen's losing streak at five.
