Beijing to Host 2006 World Cup
Adjust font size:

Beijing will be one of the five stops of 2006 Water Ski World Cup. The events will be on from June 21 to June 25 at the Xiangtan Reservoir in Nankou Town in Changping District. Nearly 50 top skiers will gather here to compete for the champions. Male tricks, female tricks, male wakeboard and female wakeboard will be the 4 events in the game.

Seven players from China will take part in the events, including Chen Lili, champion of female wakeboard at the Singapore stop of 2004 Water Ski World Cup. The French player Nicolas Le Forestier, the current tricks leader, will very probably be the champion again in male tricks, as he has been the leader 15 times, and topped in Masters Water Ski Tournament about 30 times.

In order to prepare for the World Cup, China Water Ski Association has organized a Chinese national water ski team for competition in all four events. Besides female wakeboard, the national team might do a good job in female tricks.
