Chinese Taipei beat Oman 3-1 in Asian Games field hockey
qualifying championship on Monday.
Chinese Taipei, who thrashed Singapore 4-0 after their 2-3
defeat against Bangladesh, lifted their point tally to six from
three matches.
Oman tasted their first defeat in the seven-team competition
after winning first two matches and remained on six points after
playing three matches.
Samir Haliyas scored for Oman after 11 minutes, while Wang Jui
Hao netted in the 25th minute for Chinese Taipei to level the score
1-1 at the break.
Wang Ming Kuan scored two goals in quick succession on 44th and
46th minutes to help his side scale a hard barrier in the run
towards Asian Games.
