Shi Breaks World Record in Qingyuan

Veteran markswoman Shi Hongyan has broken the women's skeet world record, hitting 97 targets at the World Cup in Qingyuan, Guangdong Province.

Shi Hongyan equaled the world record in the qualifying round and continued her on-par performance in the finals to claim the gold medal.

This is China's first gold medal at the Qingyuan World Cup which lasts from April 2nd to 11th.

Another Chinese sharpshooter Wei Ning, bronze medallist at the Athens Olympics, finished third.
