Zheng Zhi scored a brace of goals as Shandong Luneng bounced
back from Sunday's heavy defeat at Shanghai Liancheng Zobon with a
2-0 home win over Shenzhen Kingway in CSL Round 4.
The China international's first-half double puts Shandong two
points clear of Wuhan, Tianjin and Zobon at the top of the
table.
Tianjin rested in Round 4, whilst Zobon visit Shenhua tomorrow
evening in the first Shanghai derby of the season. Wuhan Huanghelou
stay among the chasing pack after a 1-1 draw at Beijing Guo'an,
Zheng Bin replying to Tao Wei's opener with his second goal in as
many games.
Dalian Shide's indifferent start to the domestic campaign
continued as the reigning champions drew 1-1 at home against Xiamen
Lanshi. Zoran Jankovic levelled the match with his second goal of
the season after Zhang Tianzheng had given the visitors a
66th-minute lead.
The biggest win of the round came in Shaanxi province where
Xi'an Chanba (formerly Inter Shanghai) beat Shenyang Ginde 3-0 with
first-half goals from veteran left-back Wu Chengying, young
defender Zhao Zuojin and China midfielder Li Yan.
Jiang Ning scored a hat-trick as Qingdao Zhongneng edged
Chongqing Qiche in a seven-goal thriller at the Olympics Sports
