Yao Ming and Rafer Alston scored 22 points apiece, carrying the Rockets in the closing minutes of a 93-92 victory over the New Orleans Hornets on Thursday night that snapped a six-game losing streak.

Juwan Howard posted 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Keith Bogans scored 14 for the Rockets.

David West notched 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Hornets, who have dropped nine of 10.
