Defending champions Guangdong Southern Tigers have extended
their recent winning streak to eight after a 104-89 victory over
the Jilin Northeast Tigers in the 36th round of CBA league
matches.
Guangdong's four national players have all recorded double
figure scores in Friday night's away game against Jilin.
Meanwhile, North Conference leaders, Beijing, suffered a big
blow as they lost 117-109 to Yunnan. It's the first time for the
Beijing team to loss two games in a row this season.
More surprising news came courtesy of the Shandong-Bayi tie, as
the hosts snapped the eight-game winning streak of visiting Bayi en
route to end their own seven-game losing run.
Shanghai are still in the running for a play-off berth, after
they beat visiting Xinjiang 110-102 to secure fifth in the South
Conference.
Jiangsu meanwhile climbed from behind to topple Shaanxi 116-103
to extend their home winning streak to 10.
Zhejiang claimed their first win after the Spring Festival
break, defeating Henan 102-78 to end their eight-game losing
streak.
