China Super League 2005 top scorer Branko Jelic has joined
newly-promoted Xiamen Lanshi from Beijing Guo'an.
The Bosnian striker, who scored 21 goals for Beijing last
season, left on a free transfer after the capital club refused to
double his wages.
He put pen to paper on a two-year contract yesterday, and will
earn around $350,000 per year.
Jelic will spearhead the Xiamen attack with former China striker
Yang Chen, who signed from Shenzhen Jianlibao last month. Xiamen
have also strengthened their defence with the arrival of goalkeeper
An Qi from Dalian Changbo.
Hungarian striker Krisztian Kenesei returns to Guo'an from a
loan spell at Gyõri ETO, for whom he scored eight goals in the
Hungarian league last season.
Beijing are now looking to bolster their defence and midfield
with two of Real Madrid's B team players as part of a cooperation
agreement, signed with the Spanish giants last November.
