After winning a long fight to get into the Olympics, female boxers are at the center of a dress code debate ahead of the 2012 London Games, including whether they should wear skirts in the ring, the Daily Mail reported.

The International Amateur Boxing Association (AIBA) said that officials will meet in January to discuss the issue and draw up recommendations.

AIBA suggested to its national federations last year that wearing skirts would help the women stand out from the men's competitions. AIBA's idea has not found much support.

Ireland's three-time world champion Katie Taylor told the BBC: "I won't be wearing a miniskirt. I don't even wear miniskirts on a night out, so I definitely won't be wearing miniskirts in the ring." （点击《每日邮报》查看原文）

女拳手或穿超短裙战奥运

       据英国《每日邮报》报道，女子拳击经过长期争取终于成为2012年伦敦奥运会正式比赛项目，可是女拳击手们却进入了是否在赛场上穿裙装的另一轮争论中。

       近日，国际业余拳击联合会发（AIBA）布了一项声明，说要在明年1月的会议上讨论此议题，并征集意见。

       去年AIBA建议各国拳联应规定女拳手穿裙装，这样可以让她们与男子拳击比赛区分开来。不过AIBA的建议并未获得多少支持。

       来自爱尔兰的三届世界冠军凯特•泰勒接受英国广播公司采访时表示了坚决反对：“我是不会穿超短裙打比赛的。平时我晚上出去消遣的时候都不会穿短裙，更何况在拳台上。”
