A California couple Samuel Kim and Helen Oh, both 27, whose wedding plans appeared thwarted when the groom landed in the isolation ward of a hospital with a lung infection, got married anyway over the weekend in a ceremony conducted over Skype, Reuters reports.

They had friends and family members traveling from as far away as Korea and New York for their wedding ceremony in the southern California city of Fullerton on Saturday.

The Saturday afternoon wedding utilized five live cameramen at the couple's high-tech Korean church to capture the ceremony for guests watching on jumbo screens, and for Kim himself watching on a laptop in the hospital's isolation ward.
