The Opera Wu from the Chinese province of Zhejiang was presented for the first time in Cuba in the National Theatre on Saturday night, attracting the local audience.

Founded in 1956, the Wu Opera Troupe of Zhejiang has dedicated to rescuing and restoring the Wu opera, the second major theatrical genre in Zhejiang with a history of over 400 years.

The opera, with more than 400 years of history, was presented in a single show and hailed by the public and experts.
"The Opera Wu astonished the Cuban audience with its unique show such as the change of masks, when an actor in second fraction changes masks, which almost seems as magic," the National Information Agency (AIN) said.
AIN said that the Dragon Dance was also impressive, which was performed by nine dancers, who did spectacular acrobatics.
