Chinese President Hu Jintao recently penned a preface for the second batch of national training materials for the officials of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

The second-batch training materials for the CPC officials include 15 textbooks, such as An Introduction to The Important Thought of "Three Represents", Scientific View of Development, and Enhancing the Party's Governance Capability.

Hu said in the preface that the training campaign helps CPC officials work better in the course of building a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way and helps improve ruling capability and maintain the vanguard characters of the CPC.

"In the training campaign, officials should make research on how to balance reform, development and social stability. They also should learn how to deal with the problems emerged from economic and social development," Hu said in the preface.

He said the training textbooks attach great importance to the success of the training campaign. Therefore, the textbooks must be composed meticulously and well integrate theory with practice.
