Chinese Vice Premier Huang Ju has asked the People's Bank of China (PBC), the central bank, to improve service quality and enhance efficiency.

He demanded the bank study, analyze and follow the international and domestic economic and finance development trends. He wanted the bank to provide "timely and accurate" information for the State Council, the cabinet.

The vice premier made the instructions at a recent meeting of the PBC.
