Members of the Communist Party of China (CPC) should improve
their working styles to protect people's legal interests, said a
senior CPC official on Saturday.
Wu
Guanzheng, member of the Standing Committee of the Political
Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks during a
working inspection in Tianjin during China's traditional Spring
Festival.
He called on all CPC members to safeguard people's current
interests while pay attention to their long-term demands under the
guidance of the important thought of Three Represents and the
concept of scientific development.
Special efforts should be made to solve problems in education
and medical service, enterprise restructuring and safety
production, said Wu.
He also called for more transparency in administration
procedures, so as to ensure people's rights of information,
participation in and supervision of government work.
During his stay in Tianjin, Wu visited local enterprises,
communities, police stations and rural areas.
