No Good Or Bad News So Far: Hill
Adjust font size:

US Chief negotiator Christopher Hill said yesterday night that he has "no good news, neither bad news nor frightening news" about the ongoing six-party talks on the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue, following hours of discussion with his Chinese counterpart.

When he was back to his hotel, Hill said that he had a good meeting with the Chinese delegation on the text of the draft joint document, but had no contact with the North Korean delegation.

According to Hill, the US does not have a plan so far to have bilateral consultation with North Korea today, the 10th day of this round of talks, and it will wait for "the arrangement of host China."

Hill also expressed his appreciation of China's efforts, saying that "China has done a very magnificent job." He also said that he is very confident China will continue to make efforts to help concerned parties reach an agreement.

It is reported that the draft document, proposed by the Chinese delegation on July 30 to the other delegations from the US, Russia, Japan, North and South Korea, has been debated over for nearly five days and revised for three times.
