The leaders of Ukraine and Serbia and Montenegro have sent messages
of sympathy to Chinese President Hu Jintao over SARS, the Foreign
Ministry said on Monday.
In
a letter to Hu, Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma expressed
sympathy and offered support for China's fight against SARS.
Kuchma said the great efforts made by the Chinese people in their
fight against SARS have impressed the whole world. He expressed the
hope that China will win the battle as soon as possible, and
believed that nothing could affect the rapid development of
China.
Serbia and Montenegro's President Svetozar Marovic, in a message to
Hu, promised that his country is willing to do all it can to help
Chinese people fight SARS.
