Adjust font size:

Macao will stage a charity concert on May 27 with a dozen of entertainment celebrities from China and South Korea present at it, organizers said Friday.

A press release issued by the hosting International Vaccine Institute (IVI) said all donations from the concert are to be used for the development and delivery of new vaccines among the world developing nations.

Park Eun-hye, starring in the recent Hong Kong-made movie hit Shinhwa (myth), Jang Na-ra, another South Korean diva, Zhang Hanyun, a fresh face of the movie industry in the Chinese mainland, and Lee Hacken, a Hong Kong pop star, will be on stage of the concert, said the release.

The IVI is an international center of researching, training and technical assistance for vaccines needed in developing countries.

The group, under the charge of the United Nations, is sponsoring programs in 21 nations and regions across Asia, Africa and Latin America, which could hopefully help save 5 million children's lives from infectious diseases in a single year.
