Beijing will play Liaoning in the final of China Basketball
Association north division, while Guangdong is to meet Jiangsu in
the south.
In the last leg of CBA off-season games, Beijing struggled to
revive at home after three tough periods.
The visiting Xinjiang mounted offences since the start and their
pressing defence made the home side uncomfortable. The Beijing team
trailed behind the rivals all the first three quarters.
However, free-throws saved the home side, a total of 62 throws
in the game helped Beijing keep pace with visitors and go past
Xinjiang in the final period.
The victory lets Beijing qualify for the north confederation
final with an aggregate score of 2-1.
In the final, they will clash with Liaoning, who holds off Jilin
with 2-1.
In the south, Jiangsu ousted Yunnan 2-0, while Guangdong nailed
Bayi to take up the other position.
