Everything is ready for the opening of the first session of the
National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative
Conference (CPPCC), CPPCC spokesman Zhang Guoxiang told a press
conference at the Great Hall of the People Sunday.
Signing up for the session as of 12:00 am Sunday were 2,192 of the
2,238 CPPCC National Committee members, Zhang said.
The secretariat of the CPPCC National Committee session has so far
received more than 360 proposals and 236 written speeches from the
members, he said.
