Yangtze River faces record low water levels

The Yangtze river, the longest waterway and most important shipping route in China, has seen historically low water levels this week in the session near Nanjing, Jiangsu province. Water levels in the session reached 3.67 meters between Oct. 18 - 25. The local government has warned cargo ships to take care to avoid being stranded in the area
