China's women judokas, who have collected four gold medals in individual events, will fight with Britain for the team title at the World University Games Monday afternoon.
The judo team competitions, not included in the other world multi-sport games, became the medal events for the Universiade for the first time.
Each team can register eight judokas for as many categories of the team competition which will select five categories by a draw before each match. The team with more individual triumphs will be the final winner.
China defeated South Korea 3-2 in a fierce tussle in the quarterfinals and enjoyed a comfortable win over Russia in the semifinals when the first three Chinese judokas overturned their opponents.
Britain eliminated Brazil and Japan in the quarterfinals and semifinals.
About 15 women teams were registered for the judo team competition of the Universiade.
