Outbound Tourists to Receive Cultivation Training
Adjust font size:

The China National Tourism Administration organized free cultivation training for a tourist group leaving for Japan on Feb 5, introducing Japanese customs and traveling tips.

China's tourism industry is to organize tourism training and to hand out written materials for tourist groups heading out of the country.

China is making big efforts to polish her international image as a civilized nation. Such efforts, it is said, are being undermined by the vulgar, impolite, and improper behavior of some outbound tourists. Poor manners have aroused concern and criticism at home and abroad, to the extent that they are tarnishing China's international image.

A lack of knowledge with respect to foreign customs is the root of most impolite behavior, said Vice General Manager of China Youth Travel Service, Han Kui, citing the case of two Chinese travelers in Japan entering the spa-pool fully-clothed, causing complaints.

Every indication suggests that Chinese tourists are willing to accept such induction training before undertaking their journey, in order to prevent any unnecessary offense.
