Zimbabwe Declares Tourism Development Zones

Zimbabwe's ministry of environment and tourism has identified and declared six areas to be approved for tourism development this year, the Newsnet reported on Sunday.

 

The six areas which are spread around Zimbabwe were set in the latest edition of the government gazette.

 

The areas are in the Midlands Province, Rhodes- Matopos, Kariba and Zambezi valley, Mudzi, Eastern Highlands and Lake Chivero.

 

The Midlands Province's tourism development zone is an area of land bounded by a line drawn from the intersection of Umsweswe river by the northern boundary of bar ranch eastwards.

 

The Rhodes-Matopos is an area of land bounded by a line drawn from eastern boundary of Rhodes-Bulawayo sanctuary.

 

Kariba and Zambezi valley is an area of land bounded by a line drawn from the intersection of Matetsi and Zambezi rivers.

 

The Mudzi area of land is bounded by a line drawn from the intersection of Mazowe river and the Zimbabwe-Mozambique international boundary line

 

Eastern Highlands is an area of land bounded by a line drawn from the intersection of Rwenya river by the Zimbabwe-Mozambique international boundary.

 

Lake Chivero and Manyame is an area of land bounded by a line drawn from the intersection of Manyame river and southeastern boundary of Skiddew.
