Spanish Airline Reopens Madrid-Algiers Air Route
Adjust font size:

After more than 10 years of absence, an Iberia flight from Madrid landed at Algiers International Airport on Sunday marking the relaunching of the Madrid-Algiers air route by the Spanish airline.

Iberia will on Monday organize an official inaugural flight from Madrid to Algiers with the participation of Spanish authorities, according to well-informed sources.

With the improvement of the security situation in Algeria in recent years, an increased number of foreign airlines such as Air France, British Air and Lufthansa have restarted flying to Algeria.

Despite the launch of a new air terminal for international flights, the quality of service at Algiers airport remains to be improved, with an excessive sluggishness both at customs clearance and luggage handling as well as the frosty faces of airport workers.
