Protective Railings Added to the Qinghai-Tibet Railway
Adjust font size:

The Qinghai-Tibet Railway has been closed off with protective railings to prevent animals from crossing.

Protective railings were set up at certain parts along the route before the railway was put into use. After the railway began operating, herd animals were often found crossing the railway. The Qinghai-Tibet Railway company then decided to "close off" the rail line with protective railings to protect the train and its passengers and herdsman's animals.

The company has also organized railroad maintenance teams to patrol along the railway at all times to make sure the safety of the railway is guaranteed.
