A delegation of the Hong Kong Region China Peaceful Reunification Association, led by its executive president Chan Boon Teong, left for Taiwan Monday for a three-day visit.
Before departure for Taiwan, Chan said the 22-member delegation 's Taiwan visit is aimed to increase exchanges with various circles in Taiwan. He believes the experience of Hong Kong in implementing the "one country, two systems" principle in the past four years will be helpful for the cross-straits exchanges and the reunification of China.
The Hong Kong Region China Peaceful Reunification Association was formed on January 23, 2000, with its members from industrial, commercial, social service, professional and academic sectors in Hong Kong.
