China Mobile has signed a GPRS agreement with Taiwan's KG Telecom, and the two companies have also launched initial talks on 2.5G and 3G cooperation.
KG Telecom said it has successfully completed GRPS trials with China Mobile in Fujian, Guangdong, and Liaoning provinces, as well as Beijing.
The company has also signed GRPS roaming agreements with Hong Kong CSL, Hutchison Telecom and Singapore Telecom.
KG Telecom is the latest Taiwanese operator, after Taiwan Cellular and Chunghwa Telecom, to sign similar agreements with China Mobile.
